AD Hoc Nuclear Criticality Safety Refresher (5272)

The ad hoc Criticality Safety Refresher is a one- to one-and-one-half hour course that is tailored to the attendees' needs, but primarily covers the following areas:

  • What Is Criticality Safety?
  • Laboratory Policy Regarding Nuclear Criticality Safety
  • Factors Influencing Criticality
  • Accident Experience
  • Minimum Critical Masses, Volumes, and Vessel Dimensions
  • General Discussion
Ad Hoc Refreshers are usually scheduled only on request of a Laboratory group. Please contact the HSR-6 Group Office at 667.4614 to arrange for an adhoc course. Also, any of the HSR-6 staff can assist in setting up one of these courses. This course is intended for LANL personnel only.
